Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Strategy and Operations SME to join our team providing professional services to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) within the Office of the Director of Administration and Management Front Office (ODA&M).This role supports a fast-paced team in assisting the Director of Administrative and Management with key functions related to governance, organizational management, strategic planning, performance management, financial, and personnel management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong analytical and business management skills, capable of managing complex project initiatives and ensuring deliverables meet client requirements and expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support special projects and initiatives identified by DA&M leadership.
  • Identify and communicate the impact of changes in mission or resources and recommend alternative courses of action and potential solutions to address management problems in areas such as systems, manpower utilization, productivity management, workflow, and change management.
  • Identify, gather, analyze, and present quantitative and qualitative data to inform recommendations and courses of action.
  • Develop project plans with defined timelines and milestones to address gaps and deficiencies, track corrective actions, and ensure successful execution.
  • Support governance, policy, and stakeholder outreach efforts to include legislative priorities and DA&M focus areas.
  • Facilitate working group sessions or workshops with stakeholders to optimize business delivery.
  • Serve as the liaison between senior leaders and DA&M, ensuring project alignment with DoD mission priorities.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate/B.S. degree is required. Graduate degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience providing strategic, analytical services senior level
  • Highly proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and SharePoint is required.
  • Experience using CATMS or similar tasking tool is
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills geared towards
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills that foster teamwork and create positive relationships with staff and principals.
  • Experience in leading the successful preparation and approval of reports, briefings, memoranda, and presentations is required.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, plan, problem solve, and adapt in a fast-paced and strategic environment under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and think outside the box to resolve complex

Clearance: This position requires an interim or active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

 

Physical Requirements: In addition to the skills and qualifications mentioned above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to use stairs without assistance
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, lift, carry, reach, kneel, crouch, bend and climb a step stool/ladder
