Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Platform Developer/Architect to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and deploying advanced Microsoft Power Platform solutions to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, and AI Builder, along with a proven track record of architecting scalable, secure, and innovative solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead customer workshops, and champion best practices in solution architecture and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and maintainable Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Pages, and Power BI.
  • Configure and manage Power Platform environments, ensuring adherence to governance policies, best practices, and optimal performance for development, testing, and production environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
  • Define data models, solution architectures, and integration strategies to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Lead customer workshops to identify pain points and design effective, AI-powered business solutions using Power Platform and AI Builder.
  • Develop and optimize Canvas and Model-Driven Apps to improve processes and enhance user experiences.
  • Implement data integrations with Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint and Azure services.
  • Create custom connectors, complex canvas apps with custom controls, and leverage Power Fx, DAX, and Power Query for advanced functionality.
  • Design and automate business processes using Power Automate, incorporating triggers, actions, and connectors.
  • Build interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports with strong data modeling and optimization techniques.
  • Ensure solutions comply with role-based security, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and relevant compliance standards.
  • Set up and configure automated deployment pipelines within Power Platform, leveraging CI/CD, version control, and release management.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization of Power Platform solutions.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, including Visio diagrams, as-built documents, run books, and knowledge guides.
  • Stay current with Power Platform features, Center of Excellence (CoE) best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum sprints and ceremonies, adapting to changing requirements with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience

 

Technical Expertise:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power Pages, Power BI, AI Builder, Power Fx).
  • Advanced knowledge of solution architecture, design principles, and integration of multiple technology systems.
  • Proficiency in creating custom connectors, complex canvas apps, and optimizing large datasets with delegation techniques.
  • Strong experience with Power BI data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and building interactive reports/dashboards.
  • Expertise in Power Automate for business process automation, including triggers, actions, and connectors.
  • Experience integrating Power Platform with SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure, and other services.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform CoE best practices, version control, solution packaging, and environment management.
  • Proficiency in setting up CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment within Power Platform.
  • Knowledge of role-based security, DLP policies, and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Co-Pilots and AI-powered solution development.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint API and Power BI Service administration/security.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and their potential impact on Power Platform solutions.

Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance. 

 

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
