Overview

Nakupuna Prime is seeking an Interagency Analyst. The Interagency Analyst will serve as part of the Interagency Team advising the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) on interagency engagement, capabilities, and authorities to enable global situational awareness and collective solutions to counter WMD (CWMD) and emerging threats.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support specific to interagency (IA) partners in the CWMD mission area in coordination with DOD priorities, DTRA policy, authorities, supporting plans and derivative guidance to counter WMD and emerging threats.
  • Develop strategic and operational plans, programs and initiatives in coordination with other DTRA offices and in support of DoD, The Joint Staff, CCMDs, other U.S. Government departments and agencies (D/A), and allies and partners.
  • Identify and coordinate potential areas of collaboration and coordination among DTRA, DoD, and other U.S. Government agencies (e.g., DoS, Department of Justice, and Department of Homeland Security), including the IC.
  • Understand and leverage the relevant national, DoD, and Interagency strategies, policies, and plans in order to inform DTRA Interagency efforts
  • Provide expertise in the development, sustainment, and execution of high-level engagements for DTRA key personnel and senior leaders to support CWMD relationships and activities.
  • Support DTRA in collaborating with IA partners to address countering WMD and emerging threats.
  • Provide support in the oversight of the interaction and transactions between DTRA members and the Interagency.
  • Participate in IA forums and activities as directed and approved by DTRA leadership.
  • Provide briefings, information papers, strategies, and planning documents, and perform program management staff work to initiate, communicate, and manage IA efforts to garner approval across senior DoD-level staff.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in the ability and skills to manage multiple projects, keep track of, or adjust, existing tasks while identifying new tasks and expectations as projects evolve.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and articulate correspondence with a focus on quality control and attention to detail; excellent oral and written communication skills geared towards senior executives.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills that foster teamwork and create positive relationships with staff and principals.
  • Working Knowledge of coordination requirements for the successful preparation and approval of reports, briefings, memoranda, and presentations.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, plan, problem solve and adapt in a fast-paced and strategic environment under minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project)

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college of university: National Security Studies, international relations, public administration or related fields preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of military or government agency experience in planning / strategic planning.
  • A minimum of 3 years of U.S. interagency DoD/Federal Government experience; Combatant Command (COCOM) experience a plus.
  • Experience working in a time-sensitive environment with a high-level of accountability.
  • Desired: experience in CWMD or emerging threat mission areas.

Clearance Requirements: Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance and be eligible for immediate SCI nomination and indoctrination. Must be a U.S. Citizen 

 

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
