Nakupuna Solutions is looking for a Network Engineer to support an Army IT program. The ideal candidate understands day-to-day network operations, is flexible, and values collaboration.

• Serve as a network support expert and support full lifecycle network engineering maintenance.
• Work with a team to solve network server problems or network infrastructure issues.
• Anticipate future network requirements, research and analyze emerging technologies, and apply them to business needs.
• Identify and monitor key risks and implement mitigation actions.
• Strive to continuously improve service delivery.

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate is familiar and has experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Experience with the methods and techniques used in wired and wireless network administration and engineering.
• Experience with multiple environments containing multiple network enclaves and with a network backbone.
• Experience with VPN administration, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), endpoint security software, Storage Area Networks (SAN), Tipping Point, and Cisco Telepresence.
• Experience managing daily network operations, including a broad range of LAN/WAN and desktop issues and providing expert knowledge of SNA implementation principles, routing protocol options, and LAN/WAN principles.
• Experience using a range of hardware (e.g., switches, routers, bridges, blade servers, firewalls), software (e.g., multiple operating systems, virtualization software, monitoring tools, IPv4, IPv6), and other common network and user equipment (e.g., SAN, NAS, Video Bridge).
• Experience managing the performance and capacity of a VLAN/LAN/WAN environment and resolving network issues.
• Experience in installation and testing of security patches and cyber security products.
• Ability to work under pressure and to adapt quickly in a changing environment.
• Willingness to take action to overcome challenges or obstacles and look for ways to improve results.
• Strong communication skills. Ability to work with different stakeholders and devise innovative solutions for customer challenges.

Education and Experience: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in an IT related field, as well as a minimum of 10 years of professional experience. Additional years of professional experience may offset education requirements.

Required Certifications: Certified Network Engineer (CCNA) or similar network engineering certification and CISSP or similar security certification.

Clearance: This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000.00 to $180,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
