Overview

Na Ali'i is looking for a Data Analyst to provide analytical support services to Nakupuna’s Human Resources department. The Data Analyst will report to a Data Engineer and perform analytical services as part of a data analytic team responsible for effective and efficient data operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to collaborate across teams to recommend and implement solutions that improve data quality. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide data support to Human Resources (HR) teams for data products including but not limited to system integrations, reporting, dashboards, ad hoc data analysis, triaging data issues and escalating errors/feature requests to engineering team
  • Assist with report pulling and report creation in the HR portfolio of systems including but not limited to Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS systems such as ADP, and other point systems that support HR operations
  • Support major company processes and initiatives which utilize business system data
  • Conduct routine data transactions, bulk uploads, and other data maintenance tasks that alter HRIS system data
  • Support HR Process improvement work where it impacts HRIS Systems by producing robust process documentation in the form of business process maps, feature enhancement or new requirement definition, and UAT testing of developed solutions
  • Provide recommendations to the HR team on data keeping, data distribution, data analysis best practices
  • Perform internal data audits and issue correction notices to HR system administrators to improve data quality and consistency
  • Support regular external system audit events, data calls, and ad hoc reporting that require use and distribution of HR system data
  • Administer data help desk operations in concurrence with data support service level agreements (SLAs)

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

 

An ideal candidate should already possess the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • At least 3 years of experience providing data analytic services to multifunctional teams.
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical and communication skills to be successful in this role.
  • Experience working with Jira, Trello, MS project or other task tracking methodology.
  • Advanced Excel skills including use of Power Query, Index Matching, and VLOOKUP
  • Proven experience working in sensitive data environments.
  • Experience with managing data within a CRM, ERP, or HRIS platform.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Prefer an excellent candidate would possess the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Experience with SQL, R, Python, or proficiency with similar data manipulation tools/frameworks/languages.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or other comparable tool.

Education and Experience: 

  • BA/BS preferably in computer science, science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) or other domain with analytical practices or 3+ years’ relevant work experience.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
