Overview

Na Ali'i is looking for a Business Analyst. This position will support development and sustainment of the internal Nakupuna Enterprise System (NES) and will be responsible for documenting and analyzing current processes across shared services departments, creating detailed workflow diagrams and wireframes, and developing acceptance criteria to support the integration of these processes into our internally developed enterprise system. This role serves as a crucial link between business operations and technical implementation, ensuring accurate process representation and effective system enhancement.

Success in this position is measured by the comprehensive and accurate documentation of shared services processes, timely delivery of high-quality workflow diagrams and wireframes, development of clear acceptance criteria, and effective facilitation of process integration into the enterprise system, as evidenced by stakeholder satisfaction and improved operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze and document current processes across shared services departments, including Human Resources, Finance and Accounting, and Contract Support
  • Create detailed workflow diagrams and wireframes to represent as-is processes
  • Develop comprehensive acceptance criteria to support the integration of these processes into our internally developed enterprise system
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to gather requirements and ensure accurate process representation
  • Translate complex business processes into clear, actionable documentation for the development team
  • Identify potential areas for process improvement and optimization
  • Assist in the transition of documented processes to the enterprise system implementation team
  • Participate in sprint planning and review meetings, fostering an agile environment that promotes continuous improvement

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate is familiar and has experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in business process modeling and documentation
  • Familiarity with wireframing tools and techniques
  • Understanding of shared services functions in a corporate environment
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Experience serving as a liaison with stakeholders to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Customer service oriented
  • Focused on continuous improvement 

Education and Experience:

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree with a two to five (2-5) years of professional experience (or internship equivalent).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint) is required.

Desired experience:

    • Exposure to or use of Agile Software Management Tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
    • Agile certification (e.g., CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP)
    • Understanding of behavior-driven development (BDD) and test-driven development (TDD)
    • Understanding of Project Management principles associated with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile
    • Exposure to JavaScript or other related programming languages

Certification Requirements: Current credentials in relevant information technology and software development practices preferred.

 

Clearance: This position does not require an active security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

 

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
