Overview

Nakupuna Services is seeking a Deputy Project Manager (PM) to help lead a team supporting the F-35 Joint Program Office’s efforts to become auditable through inventory accountability. This individual will assist the Project Manager in leading a team that will travel to F-35 locations across the globe to conduct inventories and complete reports. The Deputy PM will also serve the role as Quality Manager, ensuring data and inventories are consistent and accurate.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist PM in developing full scale project plan and ensure the project is delivered on-time, within scope and budget.
  • Assist PM in ensuring all contractual requirements are met and that deliverables are completed on time, free of error, and in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Ensure employees have necessary resources by working with PM, Nakupuna Leadership, and Shared Services.
  • Along with PM, serve as a customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
  • Perform quality control on data and deliverables that are provided from site visits across the globe.
  • Assists with efforts of cross-competency team(s) to include government civilians and contractors at multiple locations
  • Regularly briefs senior leadership on program status and milestones
  • Adheres to the approved Quality Control Plan 
  • Assist PM in establishing milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Keep Nakupuna Services project leadership team abreast of any issues of potential impact to achievement of contract deliverables or accomplishment of client mission.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and on-the-job safety requirements..
  • Provide direction and support to project team; resolve issues and work with Nakupuna Leadership to ensure resource requirements are met.
  • Communicate with Project Managers of complimentary projects at Nakupuna to ensure alignment and synchronization.

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications: Requires experience leading projects with responsibility for cost, schedule, and performance. Must be self-motivated, have strong attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills. Must have experience with DOD inventory and property systems. Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

 

Education and Experience: The following are desirable levels of experience: 

  • Eight (8) years’ experience with Government Property Management system and administration experience supporting major weapon systems and components development
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and the ability to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art in Business or other relevant degree
  • ISO 9001:2008, 2015 Lead Auditor, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or equivalent – or ability to obtain certification once hired.

Clearance:  This position requires a Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

 

Physical Requirements: In addition to the skills and qualifications mentioned above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to use stairs without assistance
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, lift, carry, reach, kneel, crouch, bend and climb a step stool/ladder

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 (annualized USD). The good faith salary range displayed represents the position at time of posting and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
