Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking an Intermediate Aviation Logistics Analyst to join our team of talented consultants providing professional services to Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic in support of Aviation Support Departments (ASDs), aviation squadrons, ships and Department of Defense activities in the Atlantic region.  This individual shall perform supply support and miscellaneous clerical work to support the organization and provide Supply program functions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the following tasks related to completing individual transactions, providing customer assistance, screening reference files, outstanding requisitions to improve delivery dates, review stock record cards, requisition as necessary, obtaining data searches, and distributing output files.
  • Monitor and maintain the accountability programs for the command in an automated data processing system ensuring consistency and appropriate cross-referencing for all data entered.
  • Review and/or audit all property accountable documents for accuracy of data and regulatory compliance by performing a variety of transactions requiring the addition or deletion of non-expendable and durable property items.
  • Perform changes during specified requirements of data from files, vendors, and other records for specialized and/or unique equipment used throughout the command, updating Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP), Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) and other databases as required with information provided by analysts or higher-level technicians.
  • Perform all necessary research to resolve unprocessed supply documents, research and update national stock numbers (NSNs), sets inventory limits, run referral queries and process batch file transfers in NERP and NALCOMIS. Retrieve and use data to respond to previously researched and resolved issues, perform causative research for supply and maintenance transaction errors and failures, extract specific information from databases needed to perform assigned tasks, search different areas of NERP, NALCOMIS and other databases to extract information to resolve data discrepancies, and resolve recurring problems based on established instructions to include management of Aviation Depot Level Repairable (AVDLRs) and Field Level Repairables (FLRs), to include aircraft tires.
  • Coordinates procurement actions utilizing the standard stock system for specific supply support programs such as, the Ashore Consolidated Allowance Listing (SHORCAL); Interim Supply Support (ISS); Consumable Aviation Consolidated Allowance Listing (CAVCAL); Airborne Mine Counter Measures (AMCM); Supplemental Aviation Spares Support (SASS/PUK); Maintenance Assist Modules (MAMs), Test Bench Installations (TBIs) and Pre-Expended Bin (PEB)
  • Maintain and review document control registers for supply actions, including purchases, ensuring no misuse of the requisitioning process, post receipt data to document register and conducts necessary coordination action with requester, develop memoranda for the equipment coordinator on all discrepancies pertaining to speculations and suspense.
  • Monitor and conduct research to update status on inventory, prepare status reports in response to needs from management and/or customers, extract and assemble data from files and other records for use in reports, and prepare recurring reports and non-complex, one-time and special reports required locally or by higher authority.

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

 

The ideal candidate possesses experience in naval aviation supply processes and procedures. Specifically, the ideal candidate will be familiar with and have experience with using Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) and NALCOMIS and possess basic knowledge of, and be proficient in, all programs within Microsoft Office.

 

Education/Experience:

 

Minimum Education: Shall possess an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related business discipline.


Minimum Experience: In addition to the education requirements above, an Intermediate Logistics Analyst must have a minimum of four years of experience in Navy logistics, AIS management, inventory management, financial management, or functionality of military logistics and AISs.


Education Equivalency: As a substitute, four years of experience in Navy logistics, AIS management, inventory management, financial management, or functionality of military logistics and AISs. Education equivalency is in addition to the minimum experience of the labor category.

Clearance Requirements: Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a government-issued CAC and possess a Secret clearance.
